First, I'd just like to note that we will not be reviewing any more Australian reds for a while. It's become too bloody boring. With that said, on to the review.

Nice color. Typical spicy berry/plumlike flavors of a shiraz. Good with pizza, pasta, and roasts. Good value. And not much more to say.

You see, the problem here is that these reds from down under all taste the same, give or take a half point. This is not bad, however it's not interesting either. And given the competition from the bigger Australian vintners like Lindemans, the smaller wineries need to do something in the way of breaking the mold. Perhaps they are within the realm of pricier non-jug labels.

By the way, the label design and graphics on this bottle are a cut above. Obviously from the "Yellow tail school" of wine packaging and most likely done by the same graphics house. Jindalee's icon is the Murray River turtle which features heavily in the hunting and gathering customs of the Aboriginal river tribes. So, if you want a decent jug wine in a bottle that looks nice on your counter, this one is for you.
